As a merchant, do I have to register to use the service?
Yes, you must submit an application online, pay a anual membership fee, submit references and be voted on by the membership committee.
Additionally, there are two types of wedding professional memberships. You must select which membership you want. You have a choice between a Standard Membership and an Elite Membership. Both memberships require the same anual membership fee.
Standard Membership
As a Standard Member of CertifiedWeddingPros.com you receive all of the benefits listed above.
Elite Membership
As an Elite Member you receive all the benefits of Standard Membership but because you agree to offer every Gold Member Bride a 15% discount you are given preferred placement on the CertifiedWeddingpro.com web page. If you want to be a member, but do not want to provide Gold Member Brides with a 12% discount, select Standard Membership.

Do brides pay to be members?
Standard Membership is FREE
Any bride can register with CertifiedWeddingPros.com as a Silver Level Bride for FREE. There is no cost to have access to all of the information on the site as well as all contact information about our Standard and Elite Wedding Professional Members.
Gold Membership
When a bride becomes a Gold Member she pays a one time registration fee she receives an Identification Card to show CertifiedWeddingPros.com merchant members. Each Elite Merchant has promised to give every Gold Member bride a 12% discount on their service. It's easy to see how a $29.50 investment can save a Gold Member Bride hundreds of dollars on your wedding.
Elite Merchant Members are not required to offer any bride who is not a Gold Member Bride a discount. In fact, your commitment to professionalisum should be ample reason for a bride to select you over non-members.
How do you "Certify" Members?
CertifiedWeddingPros.com has developed a Creed that we require each member to agree to during the application process. Merchants who want to be listed on CertifiedWeddingPros.com submit membership applications. Our staff reviews each applicant by telephoning past brides, competitive businesses in the merchants area and working with reception locations that have had experience with the applicant. We also do extensive searches on the web of public records. Once all the data is collected the file is reviewed and a final decision is made regarding the application. Once an applicant is approved for inclusion in the web page they are listed on the CertifiedWeddingPros.com web page and they receive permission to use our logo for as long as their membership is active.
Can a merchant member lose their membership in CertifiedWeddingPros.com?
Yes, we encourage every bride to provide feedback on each member that they use for their wedding. In fact after each wedding we solicit feedback from the brides. When a problem is brought to our attention we contact the merchant and the bride to encourage an amicable resolution. If a member consistently receives negative reviews without successful resolution we will remove the member from the page and not renew their membership.
Does CertifiedWeddingPros.com guarantee the services listed?
Each CertifiedWeddingPro.com member is an independent business. We do not have the ability to force any member to resolve a dispute and we can not "guarantee" every members performance. However, just as the Better Business Bureau is a clearing house of professionals the public can use to find quality businesses, CertifiedWeddingPros.com is an association of wedding merchants who have all agreed to abide by the CertifiedWeddingpros.com Creed. Each members dedication to professionalism is what qualified them to become a member. We have found that in every case to date where a complication has arisen the member has resolved the conflict in a professional and fair manner. Membership in CertifiedWeddingPros.com is simply to valuable to lose.
Does CertifiedWeddingPros.com distribute brides contact information to it's members?
No, CertifiedWeddingPros.com does not publish the brides contact information, period. CertifiedWeddingPros.com is a service that allows the bride-to-be to identify those wedding professionals that are committed to doing business in a professional manner. Not as a lead generation service that sells your information to any wedding vendor who will pay the price. We want brides to identify the wedding professionals they want to work with and contact them.
What are the Terms Of Membership?
1. CertifiedWeddingPros.com. (CWP) shall have sole control over the CWP web site and membership terms and conditions, which are subject to change at the sole discretion of CWP. For the purpose of this agreement, the applicant listed will be referred to as (Member)
2. Member agrees to abide by all terms of this Membership Agreement and the Membership Creed. When Member has selected an Elite Merchant Membership, member agrees to provide a minimum 12% discount off their package prices to brides who present a valid Gold Bride Membership. The bride-to-be must present the information prior to entering into an agreement with member to receive discount. Should the bride-to-be not have a membership Card in her possession you can contact CertifiedWeddingPros.com to verify membership.
3. Should a bride contact CWP and file a complaint against member, member agrees to resolve complaint as quickly as possible and report back the CWP via email to resolved@certifiedweddingpros.com.
4. Member will not assign its rights hereunder to any other individual, corporation or other business entity without the written consent of CWP.
5. The CWP logo is the sole property of CWP and may not be reproduced or used without the written consent of CWP.
6. CWP agrees to license member to use the CWP logo in advertising and promotion for so long as Member maintains their membership. CWP may revoke membership at their sole discretion and member agrees to stop including CWP logo in all advertising and promotion from the date that membership is revoked. It is agreed that member may continue to use any literature that exists on the final date of membership but will clearly inform brides that they are no longer a member of CWP and will not reprint literature with the CWP logo unless they are an active member.
7. Member hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold CWP and its agents harmless against any claims, losses, damages, expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) and judgments or actions arising from any breach of other obligation arising out of this agreement.
8. Member understands and agrees that CWP has the right to, and will include competitive firms in CWP membership. CWP does not offer exclusive display opportunities unless there is a separate agreement signed by the C.E.O. of CWP.
9. This agreement shall not in any sense be deemed to be or construed to create a partnership or joint venture between the parties thereto and neither party shall have any right or authority to bind the other or its representatives.
10. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Ventura County, State of California applicable to contracts performed entirely therein. Member agrees that, in the event of legal action to enforce any of the terms or obligations of the Agreement, he/she shall pay such additional sums as and for attorney fees adjudged reasonable by a court or competent jurisdiction. Member agrees that, all court actions will be conducted in the Ventura County, Simi Valley, California court.
11. No waiver by either party hereto of any break of this contract by the other shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach thereof.
12. When paying by credit card, vendor agrees that CWP can keep the members credit card information on file and charge scheduled payments to the same card on the assigned dates with no further notice to member.
13. Member may only sell or market products under the name and location listed on this agreement.
14. Member agrees to place a link on their web page linking the CertifiedWeddingPros.com home page (http://www.CertifiedWeddingPros.com) for the entire term of their membership. There will be a $100 fee payable to CWP should the link not be posted and operational for more than five business days after membership acceptance.
15. It is understood that there may be times where the CertifiedWeddingPros.com web site is under repair or non-operational. CWP will make every attempt to insure the web page is operational at all times but it is understood that service interruptions may occur and member agrees to hold CWP harmless for any down time. No warranty or guarantee is made regarding the return on investment of CWP membership.
16. Member understands that they are purchasing an event promotion package that begins when this agreement is returned.

2 Practice superior business ethics at all times by using only legal and ethical means in all industry activities.
3 Practice professional integrity by being truthful in all aspects of business.
4 Promote and maintain good business skills through continuing education.
5 Resolve disputes in a timely manner.
6 Represent each client fairly and honestly by abiding by what is stated in a clearly written agreement stating all charges for services and products.
7 Provide quality service in a timely and cost effective manner.
8 Operate your business in a manner that is a credit to the CWP organization and the bridal industry.
